Giveaway Rules & Eligibility
We're selecting one person to receive a professional storytelling experience valued at $2,500 CAD.
1. Application period
Applications close on November 27, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
2. Who can apply?
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and located within approximately three hours' driving time of London, Ontario. Applicants must be available for in-person story development and filming.
3. What is included?
One selected applicant will receive a half-day story-development experience with The New Leaf Collective and professional filming and production with Saros Creative. The final deliverable is one edited 2–3 minute storytelling video. Total value: $2,500 CAD. No purchase necessary.
4. How is the winner selected?
The New Leaf Collective and Saros Creative will review eligible applications and select one recipient. Applications will be evaluated based on the clarity and meaning of the story, its potential to connect with an audience, and its suitability for the experience. This is not a random draw.
5. Where will filming happen?
Our team will travel to the selected recipient's location within the eligible three-hour driving area of London, Ontario. Exact filming arrangements and scheduling will be confirmed with the selected recipient.
6. What happens after selection?
The selected applicant will be contacted using their submitted email address. Eligibility and filming arrangements must be confirmed before the prize is awarded. A separate production agreement will outline filming and distribution permissions.
Applications are reviewed based on the stated selection criteria. Submission does not guarantee selection. The selected recipient must agree to reasonable production arrangements.

At The New Leaf Collective, we believe every story deserves to be treated with care and respect.
What information do we collect?
Through this application, The New Leaf Collective and Saros Creative collect your name, email address, optional website or social media link, story responses, eligibility confirmation, and consent choices.
We do not ask for your city or street address in the application. We will verify the selected recipient's filming location privately before confirming the prize.
How do we use your information?
We use application information to review submissions, evaluate eligibility, select one recipient, contact applicants about the giveaway, and coordinate the storytelling experience.
We do not sell applicants' personal information.
Who can access submissions?
Applications are reviewed by authorized representatives of The New Leaf Collective and Saros Creative who are involved in administering the giveaway.
We use Formspree to process form submissions. Formspree may collect technical submission information, including IP addresses. Information may be processed or stored outside Canada and may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
Will you share my story publicly?
No. Submitting an application does not give us permission to publish your story, application responses, or personal information.
The selected recipient will be asked to review a separate production and publicity agreement before filming or public distribution.
What about marketing emails?
Receiving marketing emails is optional. Applicants who actively select the marketing consent checkbox may receive emails from The New Leaf Collective about services, resources, workshops, promotions, and storytelling opportunities.
Applicants who do not opt in will not be added to our marketing list solely because they entered the giveaway.
Subscribers can unsubscribe at any time. We retain appropriate consent and unsubscribe records as needed.
How long do we keep applications?
We plan to delete or anonymize unsuccessful applications within 60 days after the selected recipient is confirmed, unless longer retention is reasonably necessary for legal or dispute purposes.
Information required for the selected recipient's production and records needed to demonstrate marketing consent may be retained longer as necessary.
This retention approach includes reviewing submissions held in Formspree and any exported copies.
What are my privacy choices?
You may contact us to ask about, access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, or withdraw consent where applicable.
Withdrawing your application before selection means you will no longer be considered for the giveaway.
We use reasonable safeguards and limit access to personal information, although no online system can guarantee absolute security.
